Dear Sir,
From August 10th to August 25th we travelled with your coach company and we are writing to
commend your driver Patrick Walsh. In addition to being a wonderful driver he recognised that
our tour leader was not really well enough to take charge of the tour. Patrick graciously filled in
a lot of the details for him by showing us points of interest and making arrangements in a tactful, well manner and thoughtful way. We are thankful that he was our driver and will have many wonderful memories of our trip to Ireland. Patrick saved the trip for us.

On behalf of the group of 8 who were with Pat last week on our trip from Dublin to Shannon,
I wanted you to know what a fabulous job Pat did!! Being in the travel business, I have taken
many tours over the past 14 years and pat may be the best overall guide I have ever
experienced. His base of knowledge on a wide variety of subjects is enormous. He can
comfortably speak about politics, wildlife, landscape and needless to say, history.
We invited him to join us for dinner on two occasions and each time he was a major plus to
our evening enjoyment. We were very fortunate to have him with us and I wanted you to know
how thankful we were to be with him.

It is my feeling that Eilish Bermingham should be bequeathed to Duchas, for she is a national
treasure! She provided a lot of interesting background and perspective for the various aspects
of the trip. On a personal note, I had learned of the existence of Donovan Castle in the Cork
area. She located the castle and took a slight detour so that I might have a look. I was a
commoner when I arrived in Ireland, but I left feeling like a king. My sincere thanks to Eilish –
her contribution to the overall experience was immeasurable.
