Dublin & The East
Dublin has all the attraction and appeal of any major European city. There are many features
such as the National Gallery, the National Library, the National Museum together with many
smaller galleries and museums, 18th century houses and no less than three cathedrals.
North of Dublin there are seaside towns like Howth, Malahide and Skerries. Leading on from
these towns you will find some of Ireland's great historic towns such as Drogheda, Trim and the
Boyne Valley.
South of Dublin there are equally picturesque coastal towns of Killiney and Dalkey. The Wicklow
Mountains with the medieval ecclesiastical centre of Glendalough have some of Ireland's finest
uplands. |

Example Tour: South East Tour
At the start of the south east tour you will start by traveling through Dalkey and Killiney and then
onto Bray, County Wicklow, one of Ireland's best known seaside resorts. We continue south to
Enniskerry that is situated just below the Sugarloaf Mountain and close to the beautiful
Powerscourt Estate. This mountain drive takes us towards Glendalough where the ancient ruins
can be explored. If it is just a short trip we can travel back to Dublin at this point via Blessington.
On a longer excursion we can continue towards County Wexford and visit towns like Gorey,
Courtown, Enniscorthy and Wexford. All of these towns are well worth a visit. We will follow the
coast to Rosslare and then on toward New Ross. From here we will begin to travel northwards
again towards Kilkenny, a charming city with a rich history. In Kilkenny we can visit Rothe House
and Kilkenny Castle. After Kilkenny we will travel back toward Dublin via County Kildare where
we can visit town like Athy and Kilcullen. |

The South
Cork, both as a city and county have many incredible sights. East Cork contains Middleton's
Whiskey heritage centre, while Youghal, with its unsurpassed town walls has a rich heritage.
The most spectacular areas of the entire south are to be found on the famous Ring of Kerry.
This is a fantastic coastal route, while all through the Dingle peninsula are visually stunning
mountains and deserted beaches. |

Example Tour: Cork & the Ring of Kerry
We use Cork as our base for this tour. From Cork we travel towards Macroom and then onto the
beautiful mountain scenery of the Pass of Keimaneigh and then onto Ballylickey. From Ballylickey
you can view the excellent views of Bantry Bay when traveling en route to Glengarriff. Further
north we will travel towards Kenmare where the Ring of Kerry aspect of your tour will start.
By encircling the Iveragh Peninsula, which features Ireland's highest mountains – Macgillycuddy's
Reeks. There are wonderful views over Dingle Bay to the north and the estuary of the Kenmare
River to the south. From here we will travel northwards to the resort of Waterville and then onto
Glenbeigh and Killarney. On the road back to Cork we will travel through the Derrynasaggart
Mountains and then onto Blarney Castle where we can stop off to visit the world famous Blarney
stone. |

The West
The west of Ireland is renowned for its mountain peaks, small villages and sandy beaches.
Northwards are the cliffs and beaches of Mayo, the Slieve League cliffs in South Donegal, reputedly
the highest in Europe and Ireland's most remote island - Tory.
Traveling south from Connemara and Galway, the Burren comes into view with its limestone
landscape and exotic flora. |

Example Tour: Galway & Connemara
On this tour we will use Galway as our start off point and start to travel north west towards the
village of Oughterard with views of Lough Corrib. As we drive through the rugged Connemara
countyside we will travel through Recess and then onto Clifden. From Clifden, the capital of
Connemara we will travel inland towards Leenane at the head of Killary harbour. Along this route
we can view Kylemore Abbey. From Leenane we will travel towards Westport and then onto
Castlebar which is Mayo's main town. From here we return to Galway via Ballinrobe and Headford. |

Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland's most spectacular landmark has to be the Giant's Causeway. It's octagonal
columns give testimony to some unknown upheaval of the earth many thousands of years ago.
The Glens of Antrim are truly remarkable while the other end of Northern Ireland contains the
endless waterways of the Erne,
More waterways can be found along the County Down coast close to Strangford Lough and
Newcastle. The Mourne Mountains that also feature heavily in this area offer fantastic hill climbing
and walking opportunities. |

Example Tours: North Coast Tour
Traveling out of Belfast towards Carrickfergus, your group will continue via the scenic route
towards Cushendall and Ballycastle. Antrim's Glens can be viewed along this route. Walking
enthusiasts can visit Glenariff Forest Park to enjoy the excellent viewpoints. The popular town
of Ballycastle is just up the road, renowned for the Ould Lammas Fair every summer. Further
west is Portrush and the Giant's Causeway, probably County Antrim's best known tourist attraction.
From Portrush you can visit Bushmills, home of the world's oldest distillery. From here you will
head towards Derry and take in sights such as The Tower Museum, The Walls of Derry and
St. Columb's Cathederal. Once you are ready to depart from Derry we will travel towards
Dungiven and then onto Antrim town and back to Belfast. |
